"Permanent Hiatus" - Saturday Mar 11 |
ABC has put the show on permanent hiatus, basically meaning that it is cancelled. :( Rough news I know. Sorry to Fred and the rest of the cast. I am sure they will be in another pilot soon enough. I run a ghost whisperer site too in case you are interested in check that out. That is the show on CBS starring Jennifer Love Hewitt.

NOTE: To those of you who emailed me saying that Jane Curtin is being replaced on the show as the mother...you are WRONG! Upon reading these emails I had never even heard a murmur that she was being replaced after the pilot episode, so I did some research. And Jane's people are still saying that she is indeed an active cast member. If you have proof to the contrary, please send it in. And on this note, if anyone has information on any of the cast members or about the show that you would like to see posted, please, please send it in. I often miss things or am slow to post them. And your input would really help me and this site out.

Competition - Friday Dec 23 |
Crumbs will be facing some solid competition in its time slot which includes CSI and the Apprentice. The good news is that neither of these are obviously comedies.

Time Slot - Friday Dec 23 |
ABC has slated the show for a spot right behind "Dancing with the Stars". I am not sure how I feel about this move. That show was a pretty big hit the first time around, but i'm afraid it might lose its novelty, and that would really hurt our show. Not to mention the type of person watching Dancing will not necessarily be the best lead-in viewer for a sitcom. Just my thoughts...then again I don't have an MBA from some Ivy League school like those ABC execs. have.

Bad News (well kinda) - Friday Dec 23 |
Variety is reporting that once Fox officially kills off Arrested Development that ABC might go after the rights to the show and new episodes. But the problem is that ABC already has a full comedy slate and one new midseason show would have to go (either Emily's Reasons or Crumbs). I'll keep you posted as this story develops further.

Welcome - Friday Dec 23 |
Crumbs-TV is a place where you can relax and let the greatness of the show wash over you. Obviously this place is devoted to the new ABC comedy starring Fred Savage (a.k.a. Kevin Arnold from the Wonder Years). The show will make its series premiere on Thursday January 12th at 9:30 on your local ABC affiliate. Be sure to tune in so we can get big numbers to keep the show alive!

Mitch Crumb the prodigal, gay son returns home to his crazy family in a sleepy New England town. Suzanne Crumb, Mitch's mom is released from a mental clinic following the departure of her husband and a subsequent nervous breakdown. Mitch is reunited with his brother Jody who runs the family business.
